April 30, 2016 - Debbie Cook, Master Gardener and Certified Arborist, reminds listeners that this is the time of year that bees tend to swarm when their hives get too full. Please note that these bees are not harmful, they are just searching for a new home. Having a swarm relocated is easily done by contacting a professional. Go to idabees.org to find a professional in your area.
Debbie was joined by Laura Blodgett on the phone today. Laura authors her own blog dailyimprovisations.com and also blogs for D&B Supply. Today they talked about container gardening. There are a few things to consider when choosing plants for your container. The first thing is choosing a pot or container that has plenty of drainage. Next you should look for plants that all have similar needs (as in the amount of light and water). Consider where your container or pot will live before you start planting so that you can place the plants accordingly.
