The Garden Gal, February 13, 2012 — Master gardener and certified arborist, Debbie Cook talks with Tammy from Bonide about protecting your trees now to prevent those little sucking bugs from hatching when it gets warmer. Dormant Oil or an all season spray is best applied in the morning so the application can take advantage of the rising temperatures throughout the day.

The Garden Gal. February 7, 2012 — Debbie Cook, the Garden Gal, a master gardener and certified arborist tells us that although you might be seeing your Perennials come up, it is not their time. Cover those plants back up with mulch and compost to protect them until the real spring weather arrives. Many people are eager to do some tree trimming as well, but be sure to take a class or ask questions as to when is the right time to trim your trees.
